The Zennio ZAS-AUDIO8B is an 8-channel KNX amplifier (2x25W RMS per zone, 8 ohm) with 4 line-level RCA inputs, DIN rail mounted (8TE), 90-240VAC supply. All control — power, source, volume, bass, treble, mute, scene — is KNX-native, fully parameterised in ETS6.

ETS6 Parameterisation

Import from ETS Online Catalog (product number ZAA-AUD8Z). For each zone, configure in the Zone N tab:

Power on/off: DPT 1.001. Source selection: DPT 5.010 (values 1-4 corresponding to RCA inputs 1-4). Volume: DPT 5.001 (0-100%). Volume step: DPT 1.007 (increase/decrease pulse). Mute: DPT 1.001. Treble and bass: DPT 6.001 (signed byte, -7 to +7). Scene: DPT 18.001 (scene number 1-64).

Example GA assignment for zone 1: power = 5/0/1, source = 5/0/2, volume = 5/0/3, mute = 5/0/5. Replicate per zone (5/0/x, 5/1/x, etc.).

Scene Configuration

Each scene number (1-64) stores power state, source, and volume for all 8 zones simultaneously. Typical scenes: scene 1 = Evening (zones 1-3 on, source 1 'Streaming', 30% volume; zones 4-8 off), scene 2 = Party (all zones on, source 3 'Bluetooth', 60% volume), scene 3 = Night (only master bedroom zone 1, source 2 'Radio', 15% volume).

Trigger via DPT 18.001 on scene GA 0/0/10. The same GA connects to KNX HVAC 'all zones off' scene — one telegram turns off HVAC and audio simultaneously.

Speaker Wiring

Each zone: stereo pair output (L+ L- R+ R-). 8-ohm nominal speakers: direct connection, 2x1.5mm2 up to 12m cable run, 2x2.5mm2 up to 20m. Two 8-ohm speakers in parallel per zone = 4-ohm load (ZAS-AUDIO8B minimum). Three or more speakers parallel: use impedance-matching volume controls (100V line transformer for larger distributions).

Source Inputs

RCA rear inputs: Source 1 = NAS streaming (Volumio line out), Source 2 = TV audio out (optical-to-analog adapter), Source 3 = Bluetooth receiver analog out (Nobsound B10), Source 4 = doorbell station audio feed. Input impedance 22k ohm — compatible with all standard line-level sources.

IR Remote Per Zone

IR receiver input per zone (3.5mm jack, 12V IR eye supply). Zennio ZIR-AUDIO receiver mounted per zone near speakers. Supports NEC-protocol remote for local zone control. Disable IR in ETS6 for zones not requiring local control.
