Overview

Bosch Security Systems provides enterprise video surveillance, intrusion detection, and fire safety. Integrating Bosch with KNX enables camera alarms to trigger lighting, access doors, and PA system relays automatically.

Bosch BVMS KNX Extension

Bosch BVMS (Building Video Management System) 11.x: install BVMS KNX Extension (available from Bosch dealer portal). In BVMS configuration: Configuration > Extensions > KNX > add KNX IP Interface (IP address of Weinzierl or MDT KNX IP Interface on building LAN).

Action Rules

Create action rules: Rule 1: Event=Camera Motion Detected (Flexidome IP5100i, zone=Loading Bay) -> Action=Write KNX group 'Loading Bay Lights' (GA 3/5/1, DPT 1.001, value=1). Rule 2: Event=Camera Line Crossing (direction=in) -> Action=Write KNX 'Alert Zone 3' (GA 8/3/1, DPT 1.001, value=1) -> KNX relay closes security siren circuit.

Bosch Solution 6000 Alarm Panel

Solution 6000 alarm panel (16-128 zones): LOYTEC LGATE-950 with Bosch Solution serial driver (RS232 or Ethernet). LGATE translates zone alarm status to BACnet Binary Input objects mapped to KNX binary group objects. Zone 1 alarm: KNX GA 8/1/1 ON triggers lights to 100% plus HVAC into alarm override. Arm/disarm status: LGATE BACnet BO:1 mapped to KNX GA 8/0/1 (arming command from KNX touchpanel).

AVENAR Fire Panel Integration

AVENAR fire panel (BACnet/IP native): LOYTEC LGATE maps fire zone activation (BACnet AI threshold) to KNX binary output. Fire alarm zone activates KNX GA, which triggers: all stairwell lights to 100%, release of magnetic door holders (KNX binary output to magnetic door hold-open relay), and recall of lifts to ground floor (KNX to lift interlock relay).

ONVIF Bridge Alternative

Simpler alternative: Bosch Flexidome cameras support ONVIF Profile S. Home Assistant ONVIF integration receives motion events — HA KNX integration writes group telegrams. No BVMS license needed for simple event-to-relay mapping.

Combined Verification Workflow

Loading bay camera motion: BVMS triggers KNX GA floodlights on, second camera (wider angle) auto-PTZ to alert position, BVMS records video clip for post-event review. KNX guard response button (MDT binary input on security desk): writes BVMS API lock door and triggers alarm acknowledgement.
